FILAXTO – BLUE WITH CROSS CHARM

FILAXTO is a Greek word referring to something that keeps you safe by chasing away the evil. It is a small religious cloth pouch pinned to the clothes of a baby on the upper left shoulder blade.

The filakto is a blessed fabric ะฒะ‚โ€œ These Filaxta usually will have flowers from the Epitafio of Holy Friday, cotton with oil and myrrh from the Greek Orthodox church which has been blessed or used in a service.

All our Filaxta are made in Greece.
